Our Ministers

Preaching Minister- John Villarreal

We are very excited to have John Villarreal and his family, wife Rebecca, children Maddie Grace & John Ford, with us as our preaching minister.  John comes to us after serving many years as a Parole Hearing Judge with the criminal justice system of Texas.   He and his family have always been very active in church and ministry.  John began his career in ministry as a youth minister in Palestine right out of college.  He has since done preaching and youth ministry on a part time basis in the East Texas area.  John loves people and enjoys visiting members and visitors alike.  He also has a passion for God’s word and presenting lessons we can understand and apply to our lives.  He has many favorites in life as you will learn after hearing him preach, but his ultimate favorite will always be Blue Bell Ice Cream.  We are blessed to have John and his family serving along side us here at Broad Street.  Please join us for one of our worship services or if you are in need of a visit do not hesitate to contact us any time.  John is always available to share God’s Word over a cold scoop of Blue Bell!

Youth MinisterYouth Minister- Chad Parrish

Chad Parrish has been working with our youth here at Broad Street for over 14 years, but his history with our congregation goes back further.  Chad was a youth member here in high school, after returning from Harding University he became the part-time youth minister and for the past 5 years has been our full time youth and family minister.  Chad’s wife Leanne, son Case and newest member Cole Allen bring such a joy to his life and to the lives of others.  Chad’s passion in ministry is to bring the knowledge of Jesus Christ to our younger generation.  He also has a passion for missions and bringing awareness to those less fortunate in our world today.  Chad and his wife would love to meet you and get to know each one of you better.  Take an opportunity to get to know them better, you will be blessed in the process.

Shepherds- Paul Good, Mike Tomlinson & Javier Vargas

Our three shepherds come to us with many years of selfless service in God’s Kingdom.  Paul served many years with the Tyler Fire Department risking his life for the safety of many.  Javier serves faithfully at Sky Ranch Christian Camp in Van, Texas & Mike has spent many years as our song leader, he and his family worked for a couple years down at Medina Children’s Home as house parents.  These three men bring their same selfless attitudes as they shepherd the congregation at Broad Street.  There is not a project that they don’t participate  in or a family that they don’t love as their own.  We are blessed to have these men serving our congregation as they do.
